  1. Hopefully the third will be as good as the first and better than the second.

  2. Eric says:

Why haven’t they renewed Major Crimes?!

    • johnhelvete says:

I would guess because Major Crimes has only aired 12 episodes out of the 23 episodes for season 4, and they dont have to make a decision on renewal anytime soon. Unlike Murder in the First, which had contracts expiring by the end of this year.

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

      Still negotiating, I was told.

    • Tina says:

Major Crimes is the only show I watch on TNT.
We keep hoping for renewal. But they have been negotiating for months now! The longer it takes the worse I feel about renewal chances!

    • Meanwhile MC had over 4 million viewers on the summer finale and avergages 10mil across all platforms. But Murder is produced in house as opposed to MC so that explains it.

      • Jared Munson says:

You have to think too that some of these cast members have been around for 11 years now (7 for The Closer, 4 for Major Crimes) and might want to move on to other projects

        • drhenning says:

why??? They all make decent money and it’s not as if any of them is destined for some big new role. there are 6 actors who have been with this ensemble the whole time and most have been character actors who probably have never made as much. I suspect none of them are in high demand for other projects. Obviously on the The Closer, Kyra and JK have had other things to do especially him, Oscar winner… Corey Reynolds ( Gabriel) has had zip zero for the most part. Everyone else has just done hiatus work.

          • HAP says:

And don’t forget that almost all of the actors are in their 60s and 70s, which would be all the more reason they would want to hold on to what they have.

  3. I just have to say ... says:

Finally! I hope season 3 will go back to focusing more on the squad – especially Lt. Koto – and the main case, rather than introducing extraneous characters that don’t really add much to the story (Suger and the Potrero drug story, etc).

  4. jax says:

Yay! season 2 was even better than season 1. Can’t wait!!

  5. LADY_in_MD says:

Yay! I love this show and Kathleen is amazing on it!

  6. Kristina says:

Yes! This was taking so long I thought for sure it was doomed. Happy it’s coming back.

  7. Pebbletope says:

Excellent move! This is one of the best shows on right now in terms of storytelling.

  8. Boiler says:

After what they did to Perception this is the absolute dumbest thing yet from TNT. Of course look who runs it.

  9. Sharon Serano says:

  10. mike says:

Major Crimes is my must see TV

  11. Ws says:

Season 1 was great.. season 2 was a meandering mess.

  12. Frank says:

TNT should have never cancelled Dallas. All of their new dramas have tanked.

  13. Whatevah says:

    Woo hoo!

  14. abby says:

Gratuitous gutter talk throughout the program. Each character spews schoolyard vulgarity for no contributory reason. Enough is enough.
