Empire First Look: Rosie O'Donnell Arrives — But Who's Hanging With Her?

Diners are America’s great equalizers — feeding everyone from the Cookies to the Porshas (though maybe not the Boo Boo Kitties).

So when Empire‘s Nov. 25 episode (9/8c on Fox) travels to a greasy spoon, who pops up but Rosie O’Donnell — in character, of course — as a waitress in an apron that’s definitely stirring things up, fashion-wise.

Fret not, though, while the former talk-show host isn’t serving up gallons of glamour with her wardrobe, Cookie and her sister Candace (Vivica A. Fox) are Letting. Us. Have. It. (We don’t think any Elmos were harmed in the making of Mama Lyon’s jacket, but I’m not making any guarantees.)

Also in the mix: Anika having a poolside chat with… Rhonda? Hakeem rehearsing* with Laura (not a euphemism). And Lucious probably asking Andre to sell his soul to Satan.

  6. Annie says:

I can do without Rosie, but I’ll give the episode a chance. I’m not crazy about Vivica Fox either, but she looks great in the pictures with Taraji P. Henson.

  7. Miffy says:

Why would ANYBODY want to watch that thing? It is gross.

If her career keeps going in the same trajectory it is now, soon she’ll be able to say, “I am a waitress, and I did play one on TV.”

  9. Seems every episode is bring in a new guess star. In doing so they have gotten way from what I loved about the show “THE MUSIC”. The first season had great music. This season it okay at best. Also I WANT MORE BOO BOO KITTY.

What’s with all the Rosie hating? She’s actually a pretty decent actress- she’s been amazing in The Fosters.
