Showtime’s Twin Peaks‘ revival just got a little more prickly.
Miguel Ferrer has reportedly signed on to reprise his role as irritable FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield in the forthcoming continuation, per our sister site Deadline. Ferrer’s forensics specialist appeared in eight episodes of the original ABC series.
Ferrer, currently a regular on CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles, joins fellow returning vets Kyle MacLachlan and Sheryl Lee, as well as Twin Peaks newbies Peter Sarsgaard*, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried. (To date, the only piece of casting Showtime has officially confirmed is MacLachlan; *Sarsgaard, meanwhile, has denied that he’s attached to the project.)
David Lynch and fellow co-creator Mark Frost have penned all episodes of the present-day revival — which is rumored to total more than a dozen episodes — with Lynch directing every installment. Filming is currently underway in Washington state ahead of a Summer 2017 debut.
