Preacher Trailer: Are You a Believer?

AMC on Sunday released the first trailer for Preacher, its adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s 1990s comic.

Preacher centers on Rev. Jesse Custer (played by Agent Carter‘s Dominic Cooper), a conflicted Texas minister who merges with a spiritual force called Genesis — making him more mighty than the Almighty.

Joined by his gun-toting girlfriend Tulip (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Ruth Negga) and the hard-drinking Irish vampire Cassidy (Misfits‘ Joseph Gilgun), Custer begins a violent journey across the country in search of answers from a disenfranchised God.

Lucy Griffiths (True Blood) and Ian Colletti (Rake) also star in the project, as Emily Woodrow and Eugene Root aka Arseface.

Preacher‘s 10-episode first season will debut in mid-2016.
