Code Black Sneak Peek: Grey's/ER Alum Makes Waves as [Spoiler]'s Son

This week on CBS’ Code Black (Wednesday, 10/9c), someone who’s not stranger to either Country General or Seattle Grace pops up in the halls of Angels Memorial — and he’s brought some drama with him.

In the freshman series’ fourth episode, Cress Williams — whose credits include the veteran hospital dramas ER (as Officer Reggie Moore) and Grey’s Anatomy (as Bailey’s onetime husband Tucker) — begins a recurring run as Cole Guthrie, a new surgical attending who joins Angels Memorial with the help of his estranged father, Dr. Rollie Guthrie (William Allen Young).

But as seen in the above clip, Cole’s next-gen way of doing things promptly clashes with Dad’s old-school approaches to medicine.

Williams’ previous TV credits also include Hart of Dixie, Prison Break, Friday Night Lights and Veronica Mars.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Remember how Hart of Dixie was originally billed as a medical show? How dare you exclude Brick’s practice in favor of the likes of those less reputable hospitals!

His credits also include HART OF DIXIE!! Brick’s and Zoe’s practice was da bomb!! Do NOT ignore Bluebell’s pride!

This should prove a much better use of his talents than HOD. I’m really liking Code Black. It’s not quite my old ER, but its the first show in a long time that feels like a medical show. (Sorry, Grey’s)
