Once Upon a Time Photos: Guinevere's Royal Entrance, a Familiar Sheriff

ABC’s Once Upon a Time will introduce us to a new queen this Sunday.

Per the synopsis for the second episode of Season 5, “The Price,” Regina — in a bid to protect Emma — steps up in a surprising way that will test her mettle as a force for good. Later, King Arthur and Queen Guinevere (played by Portuguese actress Joana Metrass) throw a royal ball to welcome the Storybrookers to Camelot. When the gala takes a deadly turn, David and Robin must leap into action or lose a crucial asset in the fight to save Emma.

Back in Storybrooke, Hook deploys a tried-and-true technique in hopes of bringing Emma back to the light while the heroes discover that some unexpected baggage has followed them home from Camelot. Also, looks like David has grabbed his sheriff’s star back from poor Sneezy.

Check out the fresh photos below, then share your theories on the “deadly turn,” Hook’s “tried-and-true” technique and the “unexpected baggage.”

Looking forward to Sunday’s episode as the Dark Swan rises!

I’ve always wondered why your promo pics for Once are always pre-fx, and show the green/blue/etc screens.

    • James says:

It would be a bit too costly to have to vector some 3D rendered designs in those OUAT set photos.

    • Matt Webb Mitovich says:

Episodic photos are taken in real time, on set, where in the cases of blue/green screen, backgrounds have not been added in yet.

FX-heavy shows such as ONCE are in post-production until not long before broadcast, so waiting to send out episodic/promotional photos built off of actual finished footage is not practical/possible.

Sometimes I don’t even know why I watch the show anymore… TBVH it’s probably 99% so I can check out which other character from disney they’re throwing in the mix. Other than that, everyone bores me. If they wanted to kill everyone off and keep Regina so she can start another Storybrooke town, I’m cool with it.
