Fall TV Preview

Donald Trump to Make NBC Return on The Tonight Show in September

Being fired apparently won’t preclude Donald Trump from firing up his old network’s ratings.

The former Apprentice svengali — and Republican presidential frontrunner — will return to NBC on Sept. 11 as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Per our sister site Deadline, Trump and Fallon will talk about his campaign and other topics, likely including his headline-making first GOP debate.

In June, NBC decided to cut ties with the businessman after he made what the network deemed “derogatory statements… regarding immigrants” during a campaign rally.

Trump had previously indicated that he would not participate in upcoming seasons of The Apprentice at the network. In addition, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, part of a joint venture between the Peacock net and Trump, will no longer air on NBC. (The events will be broadcast on cable channel Reelz instead.)

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

What if NBC fired trump at his own bequest, just to get the ball rolling? Remember, that’s when the first of the controversies surrounding him started, and he’s been in the news ever since
