Homeland Season 5 Finds Saul 'Ignited' in Wake of [Spoiler]

Homeland launches its fifth season with Carrie and Saul once again at odds — and with good reason. [Warning: Major-ish Spoilers Ahead.]

At the end of Season 4, Saul was on the fast track to becoming the new director of the CIA. When Season 5 picks up two years later, we learn “he’s been passed over” for the top job, Mandy Patinkin reveals in the exclusive teaser above, before noting, “Carrie might not have been helpful in that process.”

Despite the seeming betrayal, Patinkin says Saul enters the new season on Oct. 4 “ignited,” “alive” and determined to “make this world a better place.”

Press PLAY above (Warning: NSFW language) for more fresh Season 5 intel, and to see Patinkin and leading lady Claire Danes debate Saul’s Season 5 calcification (?!?!) level.

  1. Mr. Tran K says:

Mandy Patinkin would’ve been snubbed from the Emmys because his performance last season was over the top and keeps using F-bombs over and over again since Day One. This is why you don’t want to BLEEP with Saul Berenson and he can be tough and arrogant as always.

  2. Heathers says:

    Will Quinn be returning?

  3. Great! Looks as if they are making Saul and Carrie even more unlikeable than they already were. All they need now is to bring back Dana Brody.

Are you serious, yes I can understand the situation with Brody having an affair with Carrie, however she has no clue as to being tortured and broken like a dog, for 8 years. Yes she has good moral values, but not a clue t o being a POW for a length of time, especially the time he did, and that hes not going to be a changed person psychologically.. Only to find out his wife is F$&%#ing someone else, especially his best friend.. What would that do to anybody in a situation like that, She claims he’s(Brody) is a terrorist yet all he wants to do is avenge the death of 83 little kids, especially a kid who he ended up loving like his own kid.. So in general she has good intentions, but really needs to know the whole story.. The comment she made abt Mike being a better father than he ever
was. Unfortunately he couldn’t help that since he was being tortured in a hole for 8 years… Something like that will change a
