Difficult People Renewed

Difficult People Renewed for Season 2

Hulu’s Difficult People has earned an easy Season 2 renewal, barely six weeks into its freshman run.

The original, Billy Eichner/Julie Klausner-fronted comedy made its debut on the streaming service on July 15. Season 2 will run 10 episodes.

“We have been big fans of Difficult People from Day 1 and are so happy to have Julie and Billy be part of the Hulu family,” Hulu SVP Craig Erwich said in a statement. “I cannot wait to see what a whole new season will bring.”

“I’m the luckiest girl in the world to be able to make more episodes of Difficult People,” said Klausner. “This must be what it feels like to win the lottery, have a fast metabolism or win an Oscar for My Cousin Vinny.”

This has been such a great couple years for comedy. Everywhere you look there’s a new, different voice. Broad City, Another Period, The Brink, Black-ish, Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty, B99, and this show probably don’t even cover half of it.

Agreed, although I have to disagree about The Brink. The only show on your list that has been more miss than hit for me. Honestly, it’s just because HBO is airing it that it’s getting a free pass for wallowing in mediocrity although quite a few reviewers have called it out on it.
