Video: Is Kevin From Work Doomed to Remain in the Friend Zone?

Is it just my imagination, or is Kevin From Work‘s titular lovefool actually getting more awkward with each passing episode?

In TVLine’s first look at Wednesday’s installment (ABC Family, 8:30/7:30c), Kevin once again attempts to play it cool with Audrey — you know, the office crush to whom he drunkenly confessed his undying love, despite her already being in a relationship — and it goes about as well as could be expected.

The good news: Kevin winds up landing a date! The bad news: It ain’t with Audrey.

This is a cute show, I sort of like how they decided to just play it sort of like skipping over basically season 1 of most romantic comedies. So, everyone knows. And they set up all the other characters as the odd balls so there isn’t a big trap if they do ever get together.

I didn’t watch the Office but this reminds of what I’ve heard of it. No famous/known actors at the start, silly storylines. Can only hope it gets better but with even reruns taken off the air at this point we don’t have much choice in what we view.

  3. Lizo says:

The “friend zone” is a myth made up by men who believe they’ve ‘earned’ sex from women and are denied it. “Friend zoning” isn’t something women *do* to men, it’s something men feel when they’re denied what they feel they’re entitled to.

God forbid you have an actual friendship with a woman. This is why good guys don’t finish last; real good guys don’t believe in the “friend zone” or it as a punishment.

People need to watch this show…it’s hilarious & light hearted…and has the best & funniest supporting characters of any comedy. I’m liking this way more than Significant Mother
