Daily Show: First Post-Jon Stewart Promo Touts Trevor Noah's Assets

Jon Stewart may have stepped down as host of The Daily Show, but that doesn’t mean the short jokes have stopped.

The series’ newest promo, which features new anchor Trevor Noah, shows the noticeably taller comedian having to lower Stewart’s jacked-up seat.

“Same chair,” the promo reads, followed by a close-up of Noah’s backside. “Different ass.”

The 30-second spot also gives us a first glimpse of the slightly changed set, which Noah mentioned earlier this month at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

The Daily Show returns — with Noah at the helm — to Comedy Central on Sept. 28.

Don’t know if Trevor Noah is NOT a poor man’s Jon Stewart.

you have not seen him his current role. he is not trying to be someone he is not. He brings with him a loyal fan base of a few millions of people living abroad that’s how tv works . You can be good but if you already have a following you get even more exposure.

I watched his stand up special and thought it was okay. It didn’t matter who replaced Jon Stewart because they would have never been worthy. I did think by the end of Jon’s time, Jessica Williams was the funniest one on there. Right now, my favorite show is @midnight.
