Jinx Spoof Brian Dunkleman

Jinx Spoof Starring Brian Dunkleman as Robert Durst-esque Serial Killer In Development at E!

This just may be ludicrous enough to work.

E! is developing a half-hour mockumentary series in the spirit of HBO’s true-crime smash The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, with ex-American Idol co-host Brian Dunkleman starring as a serial-killer version of himself.

Tentatively titled Quest 4 Truth: Dunkleman, the satire imagines an alternate universe where Dunkleman — despondent after making the billion dollar mistake of walking away from Idol — becomes a suspected serial killer.

Psych leading man James Roday co-created the project with Ben McMillan (Max and Shred) and both will serve as exec producers alongside Craig Chapman.

The cast also includes Ethan Sandler (Crossing Jordan), Julianna Guill (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), Vik Sahay (Chuck) and newcomer Jack Sweeney.

    Who is Robert Durst?

  2. Steven says:

Good for Brian Dunkleman. I liked him better than Seacrest, who always seemed so smug and self-righteous.

  3. jjk says:

Yeah! But I want James Roday to be in it too….love me some Roday!

  4. R says:

    Is Seacrest producing?

  5. Jooshua says:

JAMES RODAY?!? I don’t think I can “Wait for iiiiiiiiittttttt….”

  6. Delia says:

Can this show grab Julianna Guill forever so she’s gone from Girlfriends Guide to Divorce and stops ruining everything?
I can’t stand her mushy and manipulative character on that show. That and her lopsided mouth.

  7. Karen Douds says:

Brian Dunkleman! Well, that’s a name we haven’t heard in a long while. Good for him, hope it works out for him.
