  1. Jake Brown says:

How do they determine ratings when it’s on streaming ? Are they going to be exclusive to subscribers or will they post some for everyone to watch?

    • Matt says:

Ratings are irrelevant for web/streaming series, because there’s really no way to know exactly who’s watching what, at least not yet. So for a show like The Mindy Project which always struggled with ratings on a broadcast network, it will be refreshing to enjoy season 4 not having to worry about that.

      • Viewership may not be made public, but it’s definitely not “irrelevant.”

If the numbers are good enough, information will find a way to “slip” out to the public, but online numbers for every show are not guaranteed to come out.

      • johnhelvete says:

Hulu, Netflix and Amazon know how many people are watching their shows. Viewership is relevant but the age of the viewer is irrelevant.
