Empire Season 2 Collars Pitbull

Fox’s Empire is looking to have some f-u-n fun, adding Pitbull to its robust roster of Season 2 guest stars.

The recording artist also known as Armando Christian Perez will guest-star as himself in a fall episode of the musical drama, as well as perform the song “No Doubt About It” with Jamal (played by Jussie Smollett).

Previously announced guest stars and recurring players for Empire Season 2 (premiering Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c) include Mariah Carey, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami).

Anyone else think this is a little too much ? I would rather focus on core cast, plus Empire doesn’t need all this casting for ratings.

  2. Allen says:

FIrst casting choice I dont like. This just feels like they’re trying to get everyone on board losing track of the story.

  3. Steven says:

Empire, I think you have a problem.

  4. Sean says:

Empire: the new Will and Grace.

  5. Magali says:

I think Empire needs a guest stars intervention. It’s too much. Pitbull really?!?

  6. Arthur says:

I don’t mind as long as his cameo is similar to Rita Ora’s in S1…

  7. JG says:

All these “guest stars.” I’m thinking that they’re so unsure of this second season that they’re using stunt casting to grab attention. I’d hate to see this show “jump the shark” during its second season.
