Ratings: CMA Music Festival Rocks Much Less Hard, Zoo Hits Lows

ABC’s broadcast of the CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock drew 5.2 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating on Tuesday night, falling 29 and 37 percent from last year.

As such, the telecast placed third for the night in audience and tied for second in the demo.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent (10 mil/2.1) led Tuesday in both measures, steady week-to-week. Hollywood Game Night (4.4 mil/1.2) also was flat.

CBS’ Zoo (5.9 mil/1.0) slipped 17 percent and two tenths, hitting and tying season lows.

Fox’s 5th Grader (2.2 mil/0.6) was flat, while a Last Man on Earth rerun (1.3 mil/0.3) didn’t measure up to the final Knock Knock Live (1.6 mil/0.5).

This may not be good for Zoo chances for renewal and I’m wondering if HGN plays on for another season.

  2. wrstlgirl says:

For me Zoo is good but not great. If it doesn’t get a renewal I won’t cry :-)

  3. Maria says:

I really like Zoo, but I never figured it would be more than a one-season thing.

  4. Gerald says:

Disagree. Zoo is great summer TV viewing and I think it will get a renewal. Maybe it took a hit because of the CMAs but it’s ratings are still really good for summer TV.

Wait, Knock Knock Live was on last night? I thought when it was cancelled, it was over, no more episodes?
