Degrassi Sneak Peek: No Couple Is Safe in the Series' Final Episodes

Can Degrassi even exist without PDA? It looks like we’ll find out when the TeenNick drama returns for its final run of episodes on Monday (9/8c).

In TVLine’s exclusive first look at the dystopian premiere, several of the school’s heavy hitters are dealt a crushing blow as part of the new principal’s regime: no more cell phones, no more public displays of affection and no more unapproved after-school activities. (OK, that last one we can live without, but how are our faves supposed to get their naughty on without access to OomfChat?!)

And while I’m surprised to see Drew fall so easily in line with the new dictator’s principal’s rules, I can’t say I’m at all shocked to see Becky lend her support. (“Rules are important”?! “They keep us from making mistakes”?! Damn it, Becky, this is why we all talk about you when you leave the room.)

  1. Ally Oop says:

Im looking forward to seeing the next set of episodes. I hope the show doesn’t change too much when it moves to Family Channel. The new venue tends to have shows that are rated G but Degrassi is more of a realistic young adult show with some “adult situations.

    • Ugh says:

Family Channel is rebranding their channel in 2016. They’re losing their Disney license so they will not be able to air their shows. So DHX Media (owner of Family Channel and Epitome Pictures which runs Degrassi) is moving Degrassi there. It’ll still be the same as it was when it was on CTV/Much/MTV/TeenNick.

  2. Ugh says:

Why do you guys AND TeenNick continue to do this? If you’re going to say “final episodes”, say “final episodes on TEENNICK” instead. People are still getting confused about the show, you know. Just because the show is moving its broadcasters, doesn’t mean its ending. Its just a new tagline when they dropped “The Next Generation” from the name. Did yaw give it press saying season 9 was the final season of “TNG” and Degrassi was a new show? No. So why do it now? Degrassi: Next Class will be the same show but different networks. Its season 15 which means, these are not the series final episodes. Please fix this before more fans get confused. :\

  3. How do none of them acknowledge that the new principal’s name is Pill? Lol!

Poor Drew looks less on board and more like he’s already been beat down by the man. That Becky though. Well, I only have one thing to say about her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTNfPdqxuC8
