Ron Perlman's Sons of Anarchy Death Was Nearly Spoiled By Amazon's God

God waits for no man, unless that man is Ron Perlman.

At Comic-Con on Thursday, Perlman dropped by TVLine’s Comic-Con suite at the Hard Rock Hotel and shared details of the sensitive link between his top-secret Sons of Anarchy departure and his casting in Amazon’s 10-episode drama series Hand of God — a tricky balancing act that spawned one of my most hotly-debated blind items.

Perlman also explained why he chose to jump immediately back into another series, while God creator Ben Watkins and co-stars (including Garret Dillahunt and Alona Tal) attempted to boil down the show’s complicated premise into a concise log line. Press PLAY below to see if they succeeded.

Doesn’t affect me, but you’re going to piss off a lot of people with the title of your article. Maybe that was the idea…

Oh good gravy. It was over a year ago. Statute of limitations has expired. This spoilerphobia mania has just gotten ridiculous.

Damien – what do mean exactly :-? How is it going to make people angry? I honestly don’t understand your comment.

Hand of God is going to be amazing. The pilot was great. My question is when is Amazon going to make available the rest of S1? Still only the 1st ep from what I can tell. Maybe waiting until their big Prime day the 15Th? As far the “faith and religion” aspects go, I didn’t see Hand of God as either saying pro or against. It just is. If folks are worried about that.

Yep, this very well maybe the most boring TVLine interview I’ve ever seen…
