Zoo Cast: 'We Expect and Hope That You Will' Root for the Animals

If you find yourself watching CBS’ Zoo and hoping the lions make a meal of anyone in their path, congratulations: You’ve tapped into the new thriller’s central theme.

“We expect and hope that you will” take the animals’ side, star Billy Burke told Michael Ausiello when the cast stopped by TVLine’s Comic-Con suite at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Burke — along with castmates James Wolk, Nora Arnezeder and Kristen Connolly — spilled plenty of scoop about the rest of the season, including the fact that their separate storylines will cross in this coming Tuesday’s episode.

“These are definitely four people from completely different backgrounds,” Wolk said. “So when they come together, there’s a lot of passion, a lot of tension. It’s a fun dynamic to watch.”

The actors also talked about how the series achieves its army of animals, whether the “bond” Jackson and Chloe share will turn romantic, how the finale ends and whether that bratty kid will get what’s coming to him.

I’m guessing the reaction to multiple seasons question means that if there is a second season of the whispers that Kristen won’t be in it then. Much prefer her character in zoo anyway
