Mr. Robot Video: Evil Corp's Wannabe CTO Slaps (!) Himself Into Shape

Loading video...

This week on USA Network’s Mr. Robot (Wednesday, 10/9c), a potential successor to E(vil) Corp’s disgraced CTO whips himself into shape, quite literally.

In the acclaimed (and already renewed) drama’s premiere, CTO Terry Colby was framed and arrested for the massive DDoS attack on his own company, creating a void at the top of the tech team’s hierarchy. In the above sneak peek, SVP of Technology Tyrell Wellick (played by Swede Martin Wallström) rehearses a speech to the board, in which he attempts to not-too-coldly bid Colby good riddance while positioning himself as the logical replacement.

Wellick, you will see, is perhaps his harshest critic, and isn’t above a bit of self-harm to keep himself on message.

Elsewhere in Episode 3, titled “eps1.2_d3bug.mkv”: Elliot (Rami Malek) tries to lead a normal life, but can’t escape fsociety, while AllSafe CEO Gideon (Michel Gill) grows suspicious.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

I love this show so hard. I wish it was on Netflix or some such so that I could just binge all eps. Wednesday is too far away.

  2. Brenda says:

    Awesome show!

  3. Liz says:

This scene makes me rethink the opening of last week’s episode and what he did to prepare for his meeting with Elliot.
    ughh love this show!

If you think that Wellick roughing himself up in a mirror is weird, what would you call his, um, “encounter” from the bar, or–freakier still: what in the HELLS was that scene with his wife at the end?? I’m not fully recovered from reading those 50Shades of Weird books, so maybe I’m not the best critic of ball gags/masks and various-colors-of-restraining apparatus. But even at that, SHE IS PREGNANT. I don’t want her to be my mommy, for real!

(But while we are on the topic–why did she choose red?? She was blindfolded! Well, even beyond THAT–do colors really matter? Are red ones stronger? Sexier? What did I miss in my BDSM training?)

I am kinda digging the series as a whole, regardless of my tragic lack of appropriate education in restraint technique…
