Ratings: The Whispers Gets Quieter

ABC’s The Whispers this Monday drew 4.4 million total viewers and a 1.0 demo rating, down 23 and 33 percent from its premiere — yet still besting Mistresses‘ year-ago numbers (3.6 mil/0.9).

Opening ABC’s night, The Bachelorette (6.3 mil/1.8) dipped a tenth. (The start of UnREAL backlash, we can only hope?)

Over on NBC, American Ninja Warrior (6.8 mil/2.0) was steady and led the night in the demo, while The Island (3.8 mil/1.2) ticked up a tenth.

Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance dipped 7 percent and two tenths from its soft season opener, to 3.7 mil/1.1.

The Whisper…why such dread and strange? Networks are going so overboard on this crap.

When is Rookie Blue coming back?!

I like the mystery of The Whispers, at least so far :-) Hopefully they won’t go overboard before we get some answers. That’s usually what ruins it for me.

Pacing of The Whispers episode 2 has slowed down; unfortunately, it was more boring than episode 1. The kids were more interesting to watch than the adult characters.

the only reason I didnt watch last night is because It comes on at 10pm when you have to work early in the morning its hard to stay up! I plan to watch it as soon as I get home today on Cable on Demand. I really like this show!!

Just went back and read Zero Hour by Ray Bradbury, that The Whispers is based off of… wow, if it gets that crazy, we’re in for some good television!!!

The Whispers is an excellent show. It has a mix of mystery, intrigue and drama all rolled into one. I hope ABC does something good and does not cancel this show.
