A Very (Bill) Murray Christmas Special Ordered at Netflix — Watch the Teaser

The increasingly ubiquitous Bill Murray will spread his special brand of holiday cheer this December on Netflix.

The streaming giant has ordered A Very Murray Christmas, an homage to the classic variety show starring Murray himself.

Co-written and directed by Murray’s Lost in Translation helmer Sofia Coppola, A Very Murray Christmas finds Murray worrying that no one will show up to his TV show due to a terrible snow storm in New York City. Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit.

The star-studded cast also includes George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Phoenix, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones and Miley Cyrus.

Watch the Grinch-like teaser above, and then share your snappy judgements in the comments.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

The article sounds like the show was just ordered, but Bill was discussing it with Paul Shaffer on Tuesday’s Letterman show as if it was already filmed!

Bill Murray? I don’t need to know anything else. I’m in.
