Pilots: Lauren Ambrose Rounds Out Cast of ABC's '70s-Set Broad Squad

Lauren Ambrose ABC Pilot

Six Feet Under alum Lauren Ambrose has landed the fourth and final lead on ABC’s Broad Squad pilot.

Penned by CSI: NY alum Bess Wohl and exec-produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the drama project follows four women who graduate from Boston’s Police Academy in 1978.

Ambrose — who this Thursday made her debut on USA Network’s DIG event series — will play Eileen, our sister site Deadline reports, alongside Rutina Wesley (True Blood), Charlotte Spencer (the UK’s Glue miniseries) and Cody Horn (Rescue Me, The Office).

Also boarding the pilot are Kenneth Mitchell (Jericho), as Eileen’s husband/a sidelined fellow police officer, and Michael Gaston (The Mentalist), as the precinct captain.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

BTW, Dig is not good. The religious mumbo jumbo is a big bore, and the casting sux.

She’s still cute as a button.

ABC really needs to stop all their decade old dramas they keep airing when none of them succeed…60’s did not work with Agent Carter and Pan Am both failing and then Astronaut Wive’s Club probably doing badly in summer too…their only flashbacks work in comedies with 90’s Fresh off the Boat and 80’s The Goldbergs….my prediction is Broad Squad won’t get picked up or will bomb

Agent Carter takes place in 1946. Certainly you can tell the difference between 1946 and the 60s if you actually watch the show

Ditto, and may I add, they constantly make reference to their wartime experiences and they’re talking about World War II.
