Oscars Red Carpet 2015: Lara Spencer Irks! Lupita Nyong'o Wows! And Terrence Howard Dresses Down Idol?

It’s the biggest night of the year in cinema, so why not subject the industry’s MVPs to the harsh and superficial judgment of Kim-Kardashian’s-sister-who-used-to-co-host-The-X-Factor?

Yes, we’re straight-up mocking the 2015 Oscar Red Carpet coverage from E! and ABC — but aside from ogling pretty dresses (#OMGLupita) that’s pretty much the point of the pre-ceremony appetizer, yes?

We scoured two hours of mind-numbing coverage to bring you the 10 most memorable moments — from a possible insult of a Friends star to a super butt-kissy intro to an unrecognizable actor-singer-spouse.

So click through our gallery of 10 moments below to tell us where we got it right, what we misjudged and any eye-popping goings-on we might’ve missed!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Another good one was, after noting NPH and his husband David on the red carpet, Ross said something to the effect that we know David will be hosting tonight. Oops!

This article said everything I thought…I could go on a rant right now but i won’t!

Do the Kardashian’s own E!? How else can there be an explanation for Khloe to be talking about fashion?

You definitely nailed it with Lara Spencer. She’s the worst thing that ever happened to Good Morning America. I’m sure she’s nice personally but I can hardly watch her on t v.

  5. Keanamalia says:

E and ABC had horrible interviewing, plus boring coverage. Giuliana and company are soooooo boring. Khloe is a humiliation.

  6. Truefan says:

    Lara Spencer is annoying.

At this stage could we not have a ticker tape or screen snap of what the ladies are wearing and the presenters ask them a decent question? The men get asked what inspired them and naomi watts gets asked how she makes a frittata?? WTF

Robin Roberts, hosting ABC’s red carpet, looked extraordinary! My jaw dropped at the perfect color choice and perfect fit of her red gown. Just amazing. Whoever styled her should be recognized.

  9. HGrant says:

    Jennifer Hudson’s performance was perfection!

I want to know which executive at ABC thinks Lara Spencer has talent. Mind-numbingly terrible last night, and ditto on GMA.

What happened to Ross Matthews? Did he eat a fat person?

  12. Oh gosh yes I agree with your thoughts on Lara Spencer. Her pressuring Melanie Griffith when it was very VERY clear she was uncomfortable talking about 50 shades was annoying as hell. Even worse was her freaking “musical” Pop News this morning. Made me vomit in my mouth a little. Ugh. Really wish GMA would get rid of her. I’m not a Michael Strahan fan either but I’d rather see him doing Pop News than ever hear Lara’s voice again.

Lara Spencer was painful to watch. She really dropped the ball during the Dakota Johnson and Mom interview. A perfect opening to dig into Melanie’s comment about not seeing her daughters movie. And then later in the show refers to herself as a reporter.
