Pilot News: NBC's Endgame Recruits Strike Back Star Philip Winchester

Philip Winchester Endgame

Philip Winchester is about to discover that what happens in Vegas… might just get him killed.

The Strike Back star has been tapped to lead the NBC drama pilot Endgame, our sister site Deadline reports, playing an intelligence officer-turned-security expert who unravels a dangerous conspiracy in Sin City.

Endgame hails from Leverage co-creator John Rogers.

In addition to Strike Back — which will air its final season this summer on Cinemax — Winchester’s TV credits include roles in 24: Live Another DayCamelot and Fringe.

I remember first seeing him on Fringe. My mouth fell open and I’m pretty sure the words “hubba hubba” were said.

He looks like a great fit for the lead. Really hope that Endgame gets picked up as a series by NBC.

  3. Jared says:

    Philip Winchester is terribly underrated.

  4. Tran says:

I remember the actor when he was on 24: Live Another Day appearing in the last three episodes of the rebooted series.

Love him, saw him first on Fringe then on Strike Back, he is RIPE for becoming huge on TV and hell even movies.

As for End Game….well again, its on Network TV (bad), and on NBC (super-bad), but it doesnt mean i wont give it a few episodes worth of a chance. This: “John Davis and John Fox (The Blacklist) will executive-produce alongside EP/writer John Rogers (The Librarians, Leverage).” really helps in terms of confidence.
So far the plot synopsis is really really light…but a life and death conspiracy plot with the lead being Winchester, a “sniper”, intelligence officer and security expert….sounds fun.

Still, per usual i would be about 150% more excited for this show and casting if it was on…say HBO, or Showtime, or TNT, or AMC or basically anywhere else (on cable). I would be 1000% more excited for this show if it was on Netflix or Hulu…network TV is just plain and simply…the worst.
