Parenthood Pilot Revisited: Sarah's First Husband, 'Joelia' Bliss and More

Parenthood Pilot

Well, Parenthood fans, this is it.

With just a few hours left before the NBC drama airs its farewell episode (10/9c), we’re feeling a little nostalgic for the Bravermans’ glory days — and we’re probably not the only ones.

As part of TVLine’s “Pilot Revisited” feature, we’ve taken a look back at the show’s first-ever episode, highlighting some of the moments that made us laugh, made us cry (what else is new?) and made us say, “Wow, things really have changed” — including, but not limited to, Crosby’s unfortunate hairstyle, Amber’s smoking habit and the actor playing Sarah’s ex-husband, Seth.

And, for more coverage of Parenthood‘s series finale, make sure you have TVLine handy immediately after the episode ends (once you’ve sufficiently wiped those tears, of course).

Click through our gallery below for a trip down memory lane, then hit the comments with your thoughts — and any observations we may have missed!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

The Joel & Julia storyline was 100% overrated.

I can’t take it. :) I am going to miss this family so much. It is like an excellent book you just don’t want to finish.

Parethood is the best show on tv. It’s taught us s lot about family. I knew very little about autism before, but watching Max I have learned a lot. Keep it on the air. We need this family.
