Amy Schumer is going inside the MTV Movie Awards.

The Comedy Central star on Wednesday revealed that she’s been tapped to host the network’s annual salute to cinema, with the ceremony scheduled to air Sunday, April 12, at 9/8c.

“I am honored to be hosting the awards,” Schumer said in a statement. “I will carry the audience with me like a teen mom #breaktheinternet #breakmywater.”

Wish Anna Kendrick should have been the right choice as host but why Amy Schumer?

  2. Alienate says:

I hope they let her mouth run wild. Love her.

I remember when the MTV movie awards were actually pretty subversive and were more on point than the oscars. When the Oscars were all about Barbara Streisand, Shakespeare in Love and The English Patient, the MTV Movie Awards had Tarantino, The Cohen Brothers, and Paul Thomas Anderson. But for whatever reason they started pandering, hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
