Salem Season 2 Teaser Trailer: Warmongering Mary Has Motherhood 'Licked'

The witching hour is upon us. Or, at least, it soon will be. And, in anticipation of Salems April return, WGN has just released the first teaser for the spell-binding series’ sophomore season. Our review? Chilling! Absolutely chilling!

Not only do we see the horrific aftermath of the Grand Rite, but Mary (Janet Montgomery) — seated on a throne that rivals Maleficent’s! — looks utterly empowered as she declares that it’s “time for war.”

And what is up with that greeting that she gets from her long-lost son? Twisted. As. S—.

Well, now that Witches of East End is a goner at least viewers still have one witch-centric show still on the air.

    • Shazay says:

I love that Mercy just blends in with the pile of bodies. I think I hate that character, or the actresses acting…..not sure.

  2. Andrew says:

I’m looking forward to this, but hope the storylines they have planned unfold at a faster place. The first season just felt so slow.

  3. Joey Padron says:

Good teaser for new season. Weird Mary’s son lick her face. Can’t wait to see new season next spring!

  4. chris1 says:

Why lick her face? Is he a dog?

    • Andrew says:

It’s likely a hint that he’s supernatural or not completely human since Mary did offer him as a sacrifice to Satan in order to gain her power.

  5. ChrisGa says:

Season one was very hit-or-miss for me. The world class acting from Janet Montgomery, Seth Gabel and especially Stephen Lang made up for a lot of otherwise spotty performances(Ashley Madekwe and her real-life hubby and the girl who plays Mercy were all terrible IMO). And, as others mentioned, the pacing was off for a large part of the run.

  6. Jessica says:

Im super stoked that they got renewed for another season! This is a show that I could just sit and watch all day!
