TVLine has an exclusive first look at the answer to that question, which is showcased in the next installment of AOL’s My Hero, premiering Friday at midnight: It’s Posey’s mom, a breast cancer survivor and the fearless leader of his personal pack.

“She’s just been this rock,” Posey says. “She knows how much we love her; she deserves to hear it.”

For those of you not familiar with My Hero, the series — executive-produced by Zoe Saldana — shines a spotlight on the personal heroes in the lives of various celebrities. Other stars featured include Nick Cannon (America’s Got Talent), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) and Julianne Hough (Dancing With the Stars).

Tyler I hope your mom on tines to get better. My mom (Angelina 34) is my hero too. She’s been very sick since she was 9 years old. First diagnosed with T1D, then severe nerve damage, depression, multiple eye surgeries then 8 years ago she had to go on dialysis for 18 months. My uncle Shawn gave my momma a kindey, but she was still very ill. She got a new pancreas transplant in 2010. After that rejected she got another pancreas t-plant 2 years ago. She as my dad says is one spicy lady. She’s a rock and my hero! If my mom is still fighting so can others.
