Supernatural Video: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Preview the 200th Episode's Musical Surprise

“It’s awe-inspiring and kind of unbelievable.”

That’s how Supernatural star Jared Padalecki describes the show’s milestone 200th hour, in which a case brings the Winchesters to an all-girls school that’s staging a performance of Carver Edlund’s books.

“Imagine the surprise on Sam and Dean’s face when they walk through the doors and find a musical-theater production” based on their lives, co-star Jensen Ackles shares in the following behind-the-scenes video.

The guys’  shock is mixed with a bit of horror as the Winchesters “don’t seem like the kind of people who like musicals in the first place, especially Dean,” Joy Regullano, who plays one of the students, says. “You probably wouldn’t see him at Wicked or something.”

Maybe not, but the boys do eventually warm up to the lyrical tale of their travels, which also acts as a “salute to the [show’s] fans,” Padalecki adds.

Press PLAY to watch a sneak peek of some of the episode’s musical numbers — “The Road So Far”! — and to see the young actresses taking on the roles of John Winchester, Bobby, Castiel, etc. (Having seen the episode, we can attest: Their voices are heavenly.)

Supernatural is going to totally gank Glee!

  3. Anna says:

This is gonna be hilarious. Definitely has potential to be as awesome as The French Mistake, even though it’s next to impossible to top that.

  4. Love my SUPERNATURAL. Sam and Dean’s face during, Carry On song was priceless!!!

I have watched Supernatural since it first came on.watched Sam and Dean go through their family tragedies and battles of evil.there is a message I think if people would only look.families may have trials that test the love and trust but in the end that bound always wins.and there are demons and evil in the world.each has their own to battle.Sam and Dean have shown that together there is nothing that can shatter their commitment to one another.its up to you out there if you have that within yours.
