Aw….NO! Please don’t mess up Brooklyn Nine-Nine with a constant stream of celebrity guest-stars.

    • herman1959 says:

Yes, I know “guest-star” is not exactly the same thing as “recurring role”, but still, NO.

    • Ben says:

I’m not sure why the casting of Nick Cannon would ‘mess Brooklyn nine-nine up’ or why it would be perceived that there is a ‘constant stream of celebrity guest stars’.

Parks and Rec seemed to manage just fine bringing in people like Paul Rudd, Brad Whitford, Lucy Lawless etc… didn’t wreck the show…

      • Paddy Simcox says:

All of the people that you listed can actually act. Nick Cannon is pretty ghastly as an actor. That’s how he can ruin B99.

        • Patrick says:

Its not even Nick Cannon, per se. Its what he represents. If the show turns to a steady stream of guest stars in order to advance the plot, it isn’t a great portent of the future. When Will and Grace did it, it ruined the show. NPH famously, and publicly, advocated that HIMYM not go down that path. When writers turn to stunt casting, be it for guest spots, numerous cameos, or longer recurring arcs, it usually means that the Writers are out of ideas.

          • Paddy Simcox says:

I suppose that’s one way of looking at it. You are right as far as Will & Grace goes. Their guest stars became distracting. HIMYM had a few guest stars but, I didn’t mind any of them except Brittney Spears. She was bad both times that she was on. But, B99 has had a couple guest stars and so far so good. Marilu Henner, Craig Robinson, and Kyra Sedgewick have all added to the show and didn’t seem to detract from it, at least for me. I guess it comes down to is the guest star doing it to promote themselves or is the guest star there to add to the show?

            EXACTLY.

Nick is going to fit in great on B99!! Great casting!!

  3. Lindsey says:

I just hope Nick’s character doesn’t date Amy. That would not be enjoyable to watch.

  4. Netty says:

Nick is going to fit right in..he’s just as goofy as the rest f them. Can’t wait for that episode

  5. Millenium says:

I used to like this show too. Too bad.
