In “Selina Kyle,” Frank Whaley (Ray Donovan) and Lili Taylor (Almost Human) guest-star as Doug and Patti, a terrible twosome who prey on Gotham City’s homeless youth — the episode’s titular 13-year-old included — for utterly nefarious reasons. Detectives Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock (played by Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue) check in with Mooney to see what if anything she knows.

Fox should have high hopes for Gotham. Don’t let the network down.

Think im gonna pass for now. Being a guy that has read Batman comic book for 10+ year this show was sorely disappointing. The writing is the problem Ben and Donal where great. The guy that play Oswald was amazing. Jada was terrible and brought nothing to the show. The dialogue was overly cheesy at time and the directer tried too hard to make it seem edgy. Hopefully it grows but for now it will sit on my DVR till i get bored and need something to watch

I am still trying to figure out whether I like what JPS is doing with her character. It’s certainly bold, but I can’t quite decide if it’s intriguing or just over-the-top. I’m leaning towards the former, but it may take another ep to be sure.

I think the Selina character is portrayed as a 14 year old, not 13!

Gotham is a great show. But don`t look for it to last long. Because Fox Cancels every good show it has ever had. and usually in the first season.

It seems so strange to me how many accolades this series is getting already. I was looking forward to it like everyone else, but just the first 15 minutes alone was so riddled with tired cliches my wife and I were rolling our eyes. The gruff detective drinking maalox from the bottle. Someone running and jumping from roofs to the ground without dying. The couple making sweet love on a fur blanket in front of the fire. The gruff detective in cahoots with the crime lord. Being hung upside down in a meat packing plant. So many cliches. Come on.

As if the cliches were not enough, the first episode was in such a big hurry to reveal future villains I felt as if this were written for idiots that had their finger on the remote so they could switch over to Big Brother or whatever reality nonsense was on at a moment’s notice. Could they not have stretched out Penguin’s origin a bit? Did we already have to meet Catwoman AND Poison Ivy AND the guy who shot the Waynes? Did Bruce Wayne already have to be standing on the edge of rooftops balancing himself?

The show lost us. Too cheesy and too obviously catering to people with no attention span. .

Forgot to add CSI “Nigma” already telling annoying riddles and the detectives even having to say “Enough with the RIDDLES, Nigma!” (nudge nudge wink wink!). The detectives sitting at the diner counter, one schooling the “kid” about the city. Guy getting beaten in an alley. Significant other hiding a secret. Kid detective almost getting killed and the older detective shoots the perp just in the nick of time. Perp in the trunk of a car brought to a deserted wharf to be killed. It’s like Cliche Bingo, this show, seriously.
