Scandal Video: Would Fitz Risk It All For 'One Woman'? (Spoiler: Yes!)

Loading video...

Before Scandal‘s puppet master ever dismissed the President of the United States as a “boy” whilst held prisoner in a Pentagon bunker, Rowan and Fitz had a stern exchange of words that, until now, never saw the light of day.

In this exclusive deleted scene from the Season 3 episode “Everything’s Coming Up Mellie” — which is among the extras on the ABC series’ Complete Third Season DVD set, out now — Fitz had just learned that Rowan attempted to have Jake killed, for snooping into Operation Remington. And POTUS is not happy about the idea of B613’s plots so much as grazing up against one Miss Olivia Pope.

Watch the face-off above, keeping in mind that Fitz does not yet know (though he soon enough will) exactly who big, bad Rowan is in “relation” to his lady love.

I just don’t think I can ever like Fitz. Especially after last season. He is such a hypocrite, a jerk, a whore, and just an all around horrid character who I can’t root for.

    • Cas says:

Just like every other character on the show. Personally I still love him. I think it would be interesting to see him away from all of this though.

    • Cdn_Fuzz says:

No kidding! And… he killed Patrick Swayze in Ghost! Haha. All jokes aside, I find the Fitz/Olivia affair tiring… that music comes on, she yells at him that it can never happen again, he physically contains her until she’s finished yelling and crying, they kiss, they end up in bed, they talk about their “future”, then one of them betrays the other and repeat.

    • Lola says:

Why? because he doesn’t love Mellie? Every character on Scandal is morally challenged, IMO, Fitz, although a jerk sometimes, is the only one who owns up to his actions and take charge to make things better. Tony is also a fantastic and compelling actor who brings layers to his character. Scandal cannot survive without Fitz.

      • tamara says:

I don’t care that he doesn’t love Mellie. I want her far away from that creep. His character is horrible IMO and would do fine without him.

    • Nathalie says:

      A Whore? Fitz?

    • Cheyenne says:

Why is he a whore? Because he is in love with a woman who isn’t his wife?

  2. Maryann says:

I just want Fitz to figure out that Daddy Pope had Fitz’s son killed, and for Pope to get what is coming to him.

    • herman1959 says:

Per Shonda, Fitz will find out Pope killed his son fairly early in the season. And yes, we know that Pope has a plane, but when Fitz (and OPA) find out about him, he better have a spaceship! He’ll be a dead man if he shows his face anywhere on Earth…can’t wait.

    • RReg says:

I want to see this early on as well. Perhaps then the spy plot thing can be put to bed. It is silly and unrealistic and needs to be put out to pasture ASAP

  3. It is hard to understand why there are people who appear to have an aversion towards letting other
people make some money. Daily, individuals are taken in by guarantees of big cash with relatively very
little hard work. Affiliate marketing is a niche market that
allows you to make money using the Internet.

  4. Dmac says:

It’s true, Fitz has always put Olivia ahead of everything, including his duties as the President. He is absolutely the worst character and written like Olivia’s lap dog and that is supposed to be romantic.

  5. Jayde says:

Yup Fitz does put one women above everyone including his own kids. notice how they were not in his plans for VT with Olivia. This man thinks he could just drop his life and responsibilities he already has, move to fantasy land with Olivia

    • RReg says:

That is what you do when you meet the love of your life. Why should he settle for a pale imitation of life? Do you expect the man to go back now that he has tasted the promise land with Liv?

  6. RReg says:

First let me admit right up front that I am very much an OLITZ fan. Why did they cut that scene? I could think of many others that should have been cut…

  7. Diane says:

Why was this not included? Oh Yeah Like Shonda said Fitz was being “the devil”

  8. cooper says:

Tamara, u do know it’s a fictional show, right? Your comments sound “way” too judgemental.
