In the holiday season telepic, Grumpy Cat (real name: Tardar Sauce) lives in a mall pet shop, where having never been chosen by a customer she has developed a lousy outlook on life. But one day, a 12-year-old girl named Chyrstal warms up to the feline upon realizing she is the only person who can hear her talk. As the two bond, Grumpy Cat thwarts the kidnapping of a pet shop pooch and, on Christmas Eve, rescues Chyrstal from a too-precious spelling of her first name a frightful situation.

Plaza’s previous voice work includes The Legend of Korra‘s Eska and Monsters University.

TV Guide Magazine was first to report on Plaza’s voice-casting.
