The road to Booth and Brennan’s momentous marriage on Bones was paved with… awkward kissing?

In the following exclusive video from the Fox drama’s Season 9 DVD release (in stores next Tuesday), stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel reminiscence about their characters’ uncomfortable wedding rehearsal — which featured the actress’ real-life husband David Hornsby as the minister.

“It is strange,” admits Deschanel. “I have to kiss [David] in front of my husband. It’s just very awkward.”

But thankfully, all that “nervous energy,” as Boreanaz puts it, didn’t stop the couple from finally getting hitched.

Adds creator Hart Hanson: “We could not hold it back anymore. We held it back as long as we could.”

    Ok. I’ll say it…cute!
Personally, I think they have done a good job of finally getting B&B together, and now giving attention to the cases; their lives have evolved with the show. Other procedurals try to reinvent themselves with new actors in order to stay on the air (hello CSI!) and make more $ for the network. Bones is about B&B; it could never proceed without them, and I’m sure it would not even try. Kudos to the show, the actors, and the producers. I will be okay when it finally ends, as I will always enjoy it in syndication.

@jenna well said! I totally agree! I just got caught up on last season and totally ready for the new one!

I also agree with Jenna. Even though B&B are married, the show is still about the cases.
I just love the way Booth has been able to get Brennan to see a different side of life and I
simply just love this show. I love the characters and can watch each show over and over
again. Looking forward to the new season!

  3. Jennie says:

I have been watching Bones for some time and now I’m watching all the episodes on Netflix. I will continue to keeping watching until the producers turn this show into a soap opera. Booth gets a new partner so if there is romance there and a divorce, Viola! It’s soap opera. I will then stop watching this show. For 10 years it’s been good so don’t ruin it.

  4. Jake says:

They waited too long for the marriage. Castle is now making the same mistake.

  5. Annelie Schicktanz says:

    I love the episodes

  6. I love the episodes and am looking forward to the synchronized sequen
