Ratings: Big Brother Down But on Top, CBS Dramas Rise, Wipeout Plunges

CBS’ Big Brother on Labor Day Eve drew 5.9 million total viewers and a 1.9 rating, down 18 and 24 percent week-to-week but still easily scoring Sunday’s best demo rating.

Leading out of that, Unforgettable (6 mil/1.1) rose two tenths in the demo week-to-week and drew Sunday’s largest audience. Reckless (4.5 mil/0.9) somewhat conspicuously surged in the demo versus last Sunday (4 mil/0.5).

Over on ABC, Wipeout (2.4 mil/0.6) plunged 20 and 25 percent, while the MDA Telethon (1.3 mil/0.3) ticked up a tenth from a year ago.

    Glad Unforgettable did well Sunday because CBS did NO advertising for the new episode shown Saturday, so it got low ratings (are they trying to get rid of this show, too?)

    I couldn’t have watched UNFORGETTABLE on Saturday anyway but it was available On Demand right away and it was a good episode… Not sure what they will do with this steady summer show.. Not sure what the costs are compared to reruns but it’s tough to whack the number one weekend scripted show… Plus it’s a utility player that can repeat pretty well if needed… PM and DW are well known
