TVLine has learned that the onetime resident of TV’s Eureka and Eastwick has landed the recurring role of Laura Kell, a premiere attorney in the public defender’s office who finds herself assigned to a suspected serial killer fingered by Los Angeles police detective Harry Bosch (played by Lost‘s Titus Welliver).

Based on Michael Connelly’s book series, Bosch will focus its freshman run in part on the City of Bones novel. The cast also includes Annie Wersching (24), Scott Wilson (The Walking Dead) and Lance Reddick (Fringe).

Newman’s previous TV credits also include Mind Games, Drop Dead Diva, NCIS and Veronica Mars.

One of the six shows voted to series by viewers during Amazon’s second pilot season, Bosch is set to premiere sometime in 2015.

Remember her on Eastwick. So hot

Too bad it will end up being just another story about a misunderstood rogue cop. The books are great but I just don’t see them sticking to what made them great in the series. Sort of like what A&E did to Longmire.
