With commencement only days away, it appears that everyone’s focusing on their post-graduation plans — yet John and Kathryn aren’t as pleased with what Bay has planned for her future. Elsewhere, Melody is hard at work setting up Gallaudet University’s satellite program at UMKC — and she wants Daphne to come join her!

  1. KM says:

I wish Daphne would get arrested. She deserves it.

  2. CourtTV says:

A college in town is a classic way to continue a series.

  3. Ashlyn says:

I don’t understand why the kids can’t just go to KU. Lawrence is less than an hour away from KC. The show could still do the college thing, while still realistically having the kids home pretty often. Even K-State and Creighton would still be realistic options.

    • Marina says:

Because half the characters are Deaf? Mainstream education can be extremely difficult for them–either having a translator or being the odd man out because just about everyone else is hearing? That’s why shutting Carlton down was such a big deal last season…

  4. Rebecca McGinley says:

I like the college idea, it keeps the family and the show together.
