In the Saved By the Bell Tell-All Teaser, Hormones Make for High Drama

Even when you’re saved by the bell, it’s not all right.

At least, that’s the lesson we’re learning from The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story, Lifetime’s upcoming original movie inspired by Bell star Dustin Diamond’s 2009 tell-all.

In the sneak peek above, there’s some serious teenage tension going on at a photo shoot, not least of which includes a catfight between Lark Voorhies (played by Blink‘s Taylor Russell McKenzie) and Tiffani Thiessen (newcomer Alyssa Lynch). Plus, Dustin Diamond (Shameless‘ Sam Kindseth) has some fighting words for one of his co-stars.

Ah, high school. Dramatic both on-screen and off.

The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story — which debuts Sept. 1 — also stars Dylan Everett (Degrassi: The Next Generation) as Mark-Paul Gosselaar/”Zack,” Julian Works (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) as Mario Lopez/”Slater,” and Tiera Skovbye (Supernatural) as Elizabeth Berkley/”Jessie.”

    that’s amazing lol

  2. Deion says:

The kid playing Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s hair is going to distract me throughout the whole movie.

  3. Mallory says:

i’m afraid this will be a trainwreck…and not the kind you don’t want to look away from…

  4. Avery says:

I’m probably wrong but hasn’t DD admitted in interviews that he made up a lot of stuff in his book?

    • Winter says:

I don’t know about that but pretty much the whole rest of the cast has denied 90% of the book has any basis in reality. Most of them just seem to pity DD because he has become so gross.

    • Reality says:

He blamed that his “ghostwriter” was responsible for the majority of the controversial stories and regrets the entire book.

  5. Steven says:

Some of the casting in this is so good it’s scary.

  6. Melissa says:

Maybe we shouldn’t be bringing attention to this crapfest… Diamond is clearly just taking advantage of the show and people that made him to try to extend his 15 minutes of fame.

  7. ThisISwhywecannothavenicethings says:

This couldn’t be more awful looking if Michael Bay directed and produced it. NOPE.

  8. Drew says:

Dustin Diamond is the only one of these kids (not currently suffering from a major medical condition) to drop off the face of the earth. This is obviously a desperate attempt at getting attention.
That said, I probably will never see this movie, but I would have absolutely watched it if they got the original cast back to play their teenage selves. It already looks like a weird parody, so why not?

  9. Lulu2 says:

Love the line- why don’t you say it to my face? Uh, wasn’t he doing that?

  10. LaPiquante says:

THAT…is NOT Zack Morris hair. In no universe is that Zack Morris hair. I feel bad for that kid, having to sell Zack Morris without good hair.

  11. Fran says:

I’m a little bit speechless. Not that I was expecting much from this… but this looks even worse than I imagined.

  12. Carrie says:

Couldn’t they have found an actress who resembles Tiffani Thiessen even a little?
