Interesting cast. I’ll give it a try, but there is only ONE zombie series and The Walking Dead is it!

    • CGS says:

While I get your point that’s kinda like saying there’s only one witch series and that’s Bewitched or only one vampire show and that’s Dark Shadows. :P Although I don’t doubt that this won’t be as well-written in any way as TWD (which I’m pretty indifferent to overall).

      • KevyB says:

Let’s all pray it’s much better written than Walking Dead. Cuz that show is just awful. The acting is pretty awful too, so it’s nice to see a cast here that has a good rep in that department. And this one appears to have a plot, which that show can’t seem to get a handle on either. I’m done waiting for that show to be good, so it looks like I might have a good replacement lined up.

      • Dan says:

I’ve yet to see a witch on tv or film that Endora couldnt curb stomp before her morning coffee.

    Oh Baby!

  3. CGS says:

Syfy needs a new president or something. I don’t understand why they shoot solely for a B-quality feel. Hell, even their shows that are genuinely REALLY GOOD, they go out of their way in their promos to make them feel like cheesy crap. Le sigh.

    • Trevor says:

This. I cringed a little when I watched the Z Nation trailer. The Walking Dead may have tedious pacing issues sometimes, but the production quality is always first rate. If Syfy (I still think of it Sci-Fi) wants to expand their brand they need a signature show that generates some acclaim and buzz. That’s not going to happen if people are laughing at the CGI.

      • KevyB says:

I think much of the look here is in how that trailer is made to look a little trashy. But Walking Dead does not have excellent production values. The zombies are top-notch but locations have been problematic. Nobody ever builds a decent defense system because it would be too expensive. Did you see that bit with the tunnel last season? Really REALLY bad set-up, location, plot-point, characterization. That scene pretty much epitomized everything that has gone wrong with that show. Cool zombies do not hide bad acting, bad locations, non-existent characterizations and poor plotting. You do those things right and who cares about CGI? Are Night of the Living Dead and The Evil Dead laughable movies because they were made on the super-cheap?

exactly how i feel. i was wondering what the tone of the show was supposed to be because this is not working. i have no interest in seeing whatever that trailer was supposed to be conveying

  4. TheDude says:

Garth should have tons of insight to help the other characters survive.

  5. Nate says:

    Looks incredible……ly terrible

  6. Jax&Juice's Girl says:

Their zombies LOOK wack and this show is not going to last…..Yawn.
