Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are bound for Brooklyn, in a manner of speaking.

The screen legends’ new Netflix comedy Grace and Frankie has cast Brooklyn Decker (Friends With Better Lives) — as well as Ethan Embry (Once Upon a Time) — in series-regular roles, TVLine has learned.

Decker will play Mallory, the younger daughter of Fonda’s Grace, while Embry will play Coyote, the charismatic son of Tomlin’s Frankie.

The show is built around the premise of the titular nemeses discovering their husbands (played respectively by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) are in love with each other and plan to get married.

Embry’s somewhat “self-destructive” Coyote, meanwhile, will begin the series with 90 days of sobriety under his belt, determined not to fall back into a pattern of drug abuse.

Dear Hollywood, Brooklyn Decker is not an actress…you’re welcome.

  2. If this new NETFLIX entry lives up to the hype, it’s got Emmy comedy nods written all over it.

Any chance this will air before the end of 2014 or will this for sure be 2015?

  4. Kvivik says:

With Sam Waterston playing his dad, Embry’s character has no chance of staying sober. All of Waterstons characters are lushes. :-P I am looking forward to this show.
