Sleepy Hollow Stars Talk 'Trippy' Purgatory, Abbie's Mom and the Cranes' 'Wonderfully Destructive' Son

War, what is it good for?

How about “huge” Sleepy Hollow drama?

The Fox drama’s Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Katia Winter and new series regulars John Noble and Lyndie Greenwood stopped by TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con video suite to talk to Michael Ausiello about that damning Season 1 finale and how quickly it will (or won’t) be unwound come Monday, Sept. 22.

“We give you long enough to enjoy me being in the box,” Mison quipped of Ichabod’s seemingly inescapable fate, buried alive in his late son’s coffin.

Abbie meanwhile is trapped in a “trippy” Purgatory, Beharie says — a special hell that is “very personal” for her.

But no hell is worse than the “wonderfully destructive” fury Henry aka War is itching to unleash on dear ol’ Mom and Dad, Noble grins.

Also in the above video Q&A: the Sleepy stars talk about Abbie and Jenny’s “supernatural” mother, whether or not Katrina is “jealous” of the woman that’s been in Ichabod’s life and the current-day ramifications of meeting Ichabod’s first fiancée.

  1. Angela says:

I really liked Nicole’s comment about how Abbie and Ichabod ended up in the season finale, and how it ties into personal things for each of them/brings them back to the start in some way. That’s a good point (also, in response to Michael’s comment about the dollhouse? Would’ve loved to play with one of those as a kid, don’t think I would’ve wanted to live there. Especially not under the particular circumstances that led Abbie there :p).
And I liked Katia’s response to her reaction to Ichabod and Abbie’s moment in the finale as well-that makes perfect sense. She clearly trusts her husband, and has no reason to distrust Abbie from what she knows/has seen of her, but I can see her being envious that Abbie’s getting to do more than she could to help Ichabod with all this craziness. Now that she’s more out and about, though, hopefully she can remedy that in some ways.
I also really liked all the info on Abbie and Jenny’s mom. Especially the way her interests/leanings were misinterpreted by those around her. Looking forward to delving into that more deeply, too.
Fun interview! As always, some great info about the upcoming season, and it’s nice to see the cast together like this, too. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Tran says:

Can’t wait to see more of John Noble when the new season of Sleepy Hollow begins this Fall. He was so great on Fringe during the series’ five year run.

  3. Ian says:

    Love this show so much.

I could have listened to Nicole this whole interview.

And the talk of Mama Mills just raises other questions too, like who’s their dad and where is he?

  4. Pat says:

I love this interview. I was just wondering if Lyndie might have given some information out that she was not suppose to because Nicole by the look on her face and she made a hmm sound and also, John said something to, which basically she (Lyndie) realized this and just stop talking. Maybe, I am reading to much into this. I did go back a second time to see that part on the video and I still see the same thing.

    • Aly says:

Nicole looked pissed off almost the entire time.

      • Moment says:

Noble and Mison were quite respectful in how they were paying complete attention to what their fellow cast members were saying.

      • Luke says:

        I agree 100%
I even got a little ‘bitchy’ vibe from her.
It doesn’t mean she is, but she must have known this would be released on the site, so I would think to myself: maybe I should smile ever now and then.
Since this is the first interview with her I have seen, I didn’t get a nice impression.

  5. tahina says:

Love John Noble and his voice, can listen him forever!

  6. Das Snow says:

    That interview had little energy

  7. herman1959 says:

Michael, thanks so much for posting this interview. It seemed to me that John gave out a lot more info than he should have and that Lyndie was reacting to that fact. I’m not sorry; now it looks like the premier will be even juicier than I thought…but two more months to go!
