Michael Gambon The Casual Vacany

Fifty points to HBO!

Michael Gambon (aka Harry Potter‘s Dumbledore) will star in The Casual Vacancy, a three-part miniseries based on Potter author J.K.Rowling’s book of the same name, our sister site Deadline reports.

The HBO/BBC project focuses on Pagford, a seemingly idyllic English village with a cobbled market square and ancient abbey. Behind the pretty façade, however, is town at war: rich vs. poor, teenagers vs. parents, wives vs. husbands, teachers vs. pupils.

Gambon will play Howard Mollison, owner of the Pagford delicatessen.
