I have never watched Nashville but my son is stationed at Fort Campbell, so I might give it a look tonight.

  13. Drew says:

I wish Nashville would leave Michelle Obama out of it. I don’t need to be thinking about real world political figures when I watch that show. A fictional First Lady would have worked better… I will have to fast forward through Michelle if I watch.

    • HAP says:

I’m sure that she will greatly miss you. What’s your problem?

      • Drew says:

My problem is that this is a stupid escapist series and I don’t need to be thrust back into the daily news cycle when I watch it. The Obamas get more than their share of air time without invading primetime dramas.

        What’s your problem?

        • Ana says:

It’s clear Somebody has a problem.

          • Drew says:

I’m very open about my problem… I dislike the Obama’s, and specifically Michelle’s silly food programs for schools which do not take individual nutrition needs into account and have ended up severely depriving some students of the nutrition that they require. I do not like her spending millions upon millions of dollars on lavish vacations while the country’s debt continues to grow.
And people will disagree with me. That’s fine. But why bring that baggage into a fictional TV series, alienating half of the audience based on politics alone and probably more who just don’t want to be reminded of the real world when they’re watching Connie Briton pretend to sing live while obviously being auto-tuned? We don’t watch Nashville for reality. We don’t even watch it for good writing. We watch it for mindless, escapist fun. A fictional First Lady would have served that purpose just fine.

    • Morgan says:

Well, good luck to sticking your head in the sand as you fast forward those few seconds.
