Ratings: Louie Returns Up Vs. Season 3 Average, Game of Thrones and Veep Hit Highs

Ratings Louie Season 4 premiereFX’s Louie at long last opened Season 4 on Monday night, drawing 941,000 total viewers to its first half-hour, with 635K landing in the coveted 18-49 demo.

Versus the acclaimed comedy’s Season 3 average, that marks gains of 19 and 26 percent. (Louie‘s Season 3 premiere, buoyed by the launch of Anger Management, drew 1.43 million viewers.)

Louie‘s second episode — and yes, they’ll run two-per-week all season long — did 910K/651K. And yes, I’m running a Yvonne Strahovski photo for both of today’s ratings stories.

In other cable ratings news, HBO’s Game of Thrones commanded another all-time high on Sunday night — 7.2 million viewers (and 8.6 mil with replays added in). Silicon Valley led out of that with a best-since-premiere 1.8 mil, while Veep grabbed a season-high 1 million viewers.

Why was Yvonne Strahovski featured in both the broadcast and cable ratings? Is she guesting on both 24 and Louie?
