8 pm 24: Live Another Day (Fox) | Two-hour Season 9 premiere: He’s baaaaack! Now in exile, Jack Bauer is once again trying to stop global disaster, this time while being tracked by the CIA. Among the team keeping a close eye on Jack are CIA head Steve Navarro (Benjamin Bratt, Law & Order), agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski, Dexter) and computer tech Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey, True Blood).

10 pm Castle (ABC) | Beckett and Castle become the targets of a manhunt after evidence in a murder links Kate to the victim.
10 pm Louie (FX) | One-hour Season 4 premiere: In two back-to-back episodes, Louie has a typical day — make of that what you will — and performs at a benefit show.
