Exclusive New Girl Sneak Peek: Can Jess & Co. Pull Off the 'Perfect' School Dance?

On Tuesday’s penultimate New Girl of the season (Fox, 9/8c), Jess wants her first school dance as vice principal to be the ultimate mashup of FootlooseGrease and She’s All That.

In other words: “She needs it to be perfect,” star Hannah Simone says in the following exclusive sneak peek at the episode.

But with Jess’ calamity-prone roomies and pals as chaperones, is that likely… or even possible?

  1. BB11 says:

I really just feel like this show has completely lost its spark this season. I stopped regularly watching around the Linda Cardenelli arc and havent been able to watch consistently since. It;s a shame a show this relatively young has fallen so fast. Anyone else agree?

    • Deep says:

Not really. But I thought it was pretty vacant and not particularly clever for the first half season or so. Still way, way better than most stuff out there, even if it hasn’t matched the heights of season 2. That said, the Sister arc was the lowest point since early season 1.

    • Toni says:

Took the words right out of my mouth.

    • Scotty says:

I agree but aside from the first half of season 1, which was excellent, all the jokes and laughs since them have been sex or toilet humour, so it’s not particularly clever to begin with. Plus, they got Nick and Jess together way too soon and I hope “The Mindy Project” doesn’t make the same mistake (again) with Danny and Mindy because that is a much funnier, better written show.

  2. Patrick says:

A lot of creative types bemoan nets asking where the show will go in Season X. It is because of Lost, and shows like this, that the question has to be asked. The producers had no idea where the show was going.

  3. Steven says:

Great show :D I love it!
