Even when NBC does terrible (ratingwise), they try a lot of thing out. The new Heroes reboot (+ online series), musicals, high concept shows and now this. Thank NBC to look at more than te numbers,’

I would even watch Rudolph eating breakfast. Amazing woman!

    I will watch <3

  3. brandon says:

I will totally watch! Wasn’t this supposed to be a series though? And I thought there would be more big names than that, although I do enjoy all of those people.

  4. Joey Padron says:

I’ll watch her special. Love Maya.

  5. j says:

YES! I’ve been waiting for this, even though I wish the announcement was that she’s replacing Seth Meyers on Late Night instead of just getting a (probably one night only) variety show

  6. erin says:

    This will be amazing!

  7. Steven says:

Didn’t they also attempt something similar to this with The Osbournes and Rosie O’Donnell?

  8. herman1959 says:

May 19 is a Monday, right after the Voice. Awesome! What a great opportunity for Maya, NBC, and us!

  12. anniem says:

The network variety show is a format that’s been gone far too long from television. Love Maya Rudolph, and am very much looking forward to this. :-)

  13. TV Gord says:

I am looking forward to this, and Maya is someone who can carry a variety show! Counting down the days…

  14. Lorraine M. says:

Loved her+ dazzling assortment of guests, but it just wasn’t funny. More like SNL second string sketches. ( particularly the wealthy couple sketch) . Comedy will have to improve if this gets considered as a series. Singing was good, but segways were awkward. And the last song at the end about babies….soooo schmaltzy!
