Set 200 years in the future, The Expanse follows a detective and a ship captain who team up to find a missing young woman and expose one of history’s greatest conspiracies.

“The Expanse is epic in scale and scope and promises to be Syfy’s most ambitious series to date,” says Syfy president Dave Howe. “Bringing this coveted book franchise to television with our partners at Alcon and the Sean Daniel Company is a giant win for Syfy, reinforcing our overall strategy to produce bold, provocative and compelling sci-fi fantasy stories.”

Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby will serve as writers and executive producers.

What! I read the first book and loved it!!! I have the second book but have been to busy with school to get started. Really excited to watch this and see how they can bring the books to life.

  2. Kenter says:

I look forward to watching this for a few seasons only for it to be ripped off the air without any notice or any ending.

  3. David4 says:

    Sounds fun.

  4. Loki says:

It would probably be a good Series if Syfy didn’t have such crap CGI.

  5. Brooke says:

I had to look up the Expanse series, and realized that the first one is the Hugo-nominated Leviathan Wakes, which has been sitting on my To Read list for a while. This will definitely push it to the top!

Tell that to Jim Butcher’s “The Dresden Files” (Such a freaking joke this so called network has become)

    • Angelo says:

They should have waited until more books were done for that one. Just imagine if HBO or Showtime decided to do the Dresden Series now. Maybe 2 books a season? With one episode made up of two of the Side jobs or so?

  7. Francine says:

Love the books so I’m excited for this.

  8. liz says:
