Halt and Catch Fire First Trailer: Lee Pace Wages Tech War in New AMC Drama

Set in the 1980s, shortly after the release of IBM’s first personal computer, Halt follows former IBM executive Joe MacMillan (Pushing Daisies‘ Lee Pace) as he plots to “reverse engineer” the product and enter his own private company into the PC race.

The drama also stars Scoot McNairy (Bones) as engineer Gordon Clark; Kerry Bishé (Scrubs) as Gordon’s wife, Donna; and Mackenzie Davis (I Just Want My Pants Back) as Cameron Howe, a young prodigy who joins Joe’s crusade.

  1. Lauren says:

the show scored extra interest points with the use of Sweet Dreams Are Made of This in the trailer. Looking forward to it! Late viewer to Pushing Daises, but happy to see Lee Pace back on TV.

  2. Francine says:

The premise of this show doesn’t interest me at all, but I will watch Lee Pace in ANYTHING. I will definitely give it a shot. Pushing Daisies is the one cancellation I have never gotten over.

  3. Sarah says:

Totally weird fact, but I’m pretty sure Scoot McNairy and Kerry Bishe played husband and wife in “Argo” too. Also I’m with Francine – I’d watch Lee Pace in anything.

  4. HAP says:

Why in the world would anyone even reference McNairy’s connection to Bones? He was in 3 episodes of a series that has run 185.

  5. Joey Padron says:

Saw the trailer during Walking Dead’s season finale. Looks good. Glad Lee Pace is back on tv. can’t wait to see Lee in a different role from he did in Pushing Daises.

  6. JVee says:

Still mourning Pushing Daisies – will definitely check this out.
