Sharknado Sequel Gets New Premiere Date -- Plus: Statue of Liberty Devoured in Official Poster

Urgent weather bulletin: Sharknado 2: The Second One will reach landfall earlier than expected.

Syfy announced Friday that the anticipated sequel will premiere Wednesday, July 30 at 9/8c, one day sooner than planned.

The cabler also released the official poster for the Big Apple-based pic, and things don’t look good for Lady Liberty…

    The thing about this one is they’re gonna purposely make it bad, so it won’t be as “good”.

    Since they got back Ian and Tara for the sequel, I will be watching. I hate it when Syfy makes “sequels” that have literally no connection with the original films. So this is kind of exciting.
